SPRINGFIELD, N.H. — Residents will vote on a petitioned article to establish an agricultural commission in town to promote farming.
Town Meeting attendees will also vote on a $1.47 million general fund budget and a proposal to appropriate $75,000 from surplus funds to purchase a truck for the Highway Department.
In municipal elections, Selectboard Chairman Richard Hendl is facing a challenge from Susan Abair for a three-year seat.
Thomas Greenhalge, Peter Keene and Darrin Patten are competing for two seats on the Planning Board.
And four candidates — Bryan O’Day, Ryan Peterson, Justin Hastings and Kenneth Jacques — are running for three seats on the Budget Committee.
Australian ballot voting will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at Town Hall. The annual Town Meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at the same location.
