VERSHIRE, VT — Brenda J. Benoir, 72, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the Hanover Terrace Health and Rehab Center in Hanover, NH.
She was born October 6, 1947 in Burlington, VT the daughter of Robert W. and Gladys (Burch) Perkins.
On February 12, 1966 she married Nelson P. Benoir. They lived in Lebanon, NH, until they moved to Vershire, VT in 2004.
She worked 26 years as an inspector for Split Ball Bearing Corp. which later became Timken Aerospace of Lebanon, NH.
She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting and embroidery.
She is survived by her husband Nelson Benoir of Vershire, VT; a son William Benoir of Bethel, VT; a granddaughter Heather Tufts; three great grandchildren; a brother Robert Perkins and wife Roberta of Vershire, VT, sister in-law Julie Eaton and brother in-law Gary Rich. Nephews Mark Pero, Andrew Perkins (Carol), Joshua Perkins, Bryon Perkins (Lindsay), and niece Rebecca Pero Potwin. Great nieces Megan Perkins and Lily Perkins, great nephews Michael & Max Pero, Jacob Perkins & Nicholas Potwin and two great great nieces Hayley & Remington Potwin, many cousins & friends. She was predeceased by a brother Michael Perkins and a sister Dale Rich.
The family would like to thank Ana Edson for being close by Brenda’s side in the hospital and nursing home for the last two weeks of her life. Ana was a great comfort, friend and advocate for Brenda as well as amazing support for the family.
As Brenda wished there will be no public calling hours or funeral services.

Before her illness Brenda met with her student for an hour each week at Westshire Elementary School in West Fairlee VT to read together, play games or do puzzles.
