New London resident named to Dismas Home of NH board

MANCHESTER — Robert “Randy” Foose, of New London, has been named to the Dismas Home New Hampshire board.

The Manchester-based nonprofit organization assists formerly incarcerated women in New Hampshire reintegrate into the community through its education, training, therapy and recovery programs.

Foose is a former higher education administrator and state representative who recently served as the chair of the Board of the New Hampshire Endowment for Health, according to a news release from Dismas Home.

During his 30-year professional career, Foose served as the chief financial officer of four colleges.

He has visited and worked with prisoners in the New Hampshire State Prison through the Kairos ministry program.

“The recidivism rate for incarcerated women in New Hampshire is 60%. This is largely because women coming out of prison in New Hampshire have few support systems to help them re-engage in society,” Foose said in the release. “Dismas Home solves that problem and I look forward to adding to their record of success because the role they play is crucial for these women and their families.”
