CHELSEA — Voters at Town Meeting will fill four Selectboard seats in elections held from the floor.

Selectboard member Kent Gilman resigned his seat on Tuesday night, as he has become the town’s interim administrative assistant, according to Town Clerk Karen Lathrop.

Lathrop, who also has been on the Selectboard for a one-year term, said she is not running again for Selectboard nor is Selectboard Chair Susan Elder. Selectboard member Geoffrey Clayton, who was appointed to an open seat, is expected to seek another term.

On the budget front, voters will be asked to approve $1.6 million in general fund spending. That would require $925,173 to be raised in taxes, a 5.8% increase.

Town Meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, at Chelsea Town Hall.
