WOBURN, Mass. — The Hanover High girls hockey team fell, 6-3, to Woburn at O’Brien Rink on Tuesday night.
The Marauders allowed two goals in the first two minutes of play and another in the second period, leaving them down, 3-0, entering the final period. Another goal from the Bulls early in the third period extended their lead.
Hanover (9-6-2, 9-4-2 NHIAA) scored all three of its goals in the third period, but it wasn’t enough. Meredith Morhun registered two goals, and her sister, Natalie, added a goal and assist. Sage McGinley-Smith had two assists.
Rebekah Rudd and Katelyn Smith combined for 30 saves. The Marauders visit St. Thomas-Winnacunnet on Friday afternoon.
QUECHEE — The Eagles jumped out to a 25-4 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
MVCS (8-8) was led by Joel Roberts’ 13 points. Cade Paquette had 12 points for the surging Eagles, who are on a three-game winning streak. Stan Nelson added 11 points.
MVCS hosts Websterville on Thursday.
TOWNSHEND, Vt. — After a double-overtime loss Monday night and a two-hour bus ride to Leland & Gray, Wildcats coach Mike Gaudette was interested to see how his players responded. They responded with gusto.
WRV (11-8) came out fast with strong transition play and solid defense. Dominic Craven led the effort with a career-high 32 points, and Tyler Slack also had a career high with 12 points.
The Wildcats host Long Trail on Thursday for senior night.
HANOVER – Dartmouth’s Stephanie Currie was named EISA skier of the week after helping the Big Green earn victories in the slalom and giant slalom in this past weekend’s Williams Carnival.
Currie took fourth place in the slalom and placed 10th in the GS for 71 total points, which contributed to Dartmouth’s team total. The Big Green beat out New Hampshire for the team title on Saturday and Sunday.
Dartmouth visits the Middlebury Carnival this weekend for the Eastern Regional.

BRISTOL, N.H. — Ben Seiler (26 points) and Connor Thompson (29 points) each knocked down six 3-pointers in the victory.
