LEBANON, NH — Jawn Mary Hill passed through the veil January 19, 2020 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1950, in Windsor, Vermont.

She attended Lebanon schools and met her future husband, Gene Hill, in 1971. They were married for 49 years. They raised their children in Lebanon, where she was a homemaker.

She loved her sons and their wives, and had tremendous love for her grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved working with the children in the church as a teacher and nursery leader, and she served as a secretary in the Relief Society, the women’s auxiliary. She also loved to read.

She was predeceased by her mother, Pauline Temple, and her stepfather, Robert Temple. For seventeen years, Munchkin was her beloved Pekinese companion.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Todd Hill (Tracy) of Elkridge, MD and Sean Hill (Lori) of Canaan, NH; a step-son, Donald Fifield (Cheryl Davis) of Plymouth, NH; and five grandchildren, Ashlyn Hill, Andrew Hill, Trinity Hill, Baylee Hill and Ethan Hill (Emily Remillard).

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the nursing staff and doctors at DHMC who cared for her so well.

Her service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, Jan. 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Route 4 in Lebanon, Bishop Bjoern Suckow presiding. Burial will follow at the West Lebanon Cemetery, with dedication of the grave by her husband.
