BARNARD, VT — Michael B. Bly, 62, died at his home in Barnard on Friday January 3, 2020.
Born in Waterbury Connecticut Michael spent many summer vacations in Barnard, Vermont with family and friends, influencing his decision to re-locate to Barnard in 1992.
Michael was an avid gardener and artist who enjoyed both cooking and hiking. He was well known for his enjoyment of a lively conversation on most any topic. Michael will be remembered as a caring husband and father.
He is survived by his father Arden (Kathy) Bly of Waterbury, CT, his mother Mary Jane Bly of Waterbury, CT, wife Deborah G. Bond of Barnard, his Children; Stephanie of Randolph, Christopher (Julie) of Randolph, and Dillon of Portland, OR., his brothers Kevin (Donna) of Boca Raton, FL, Billy (Donna) of Walcott, CT, his sister Laura Hale of Waterbury, CT, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held on the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock on Thursday January 9th at 11:00am. Those wishing may call on the family starting at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
