MANCHESTER — Mackenzie Lou, Sage McGinley-Smith (one assist) and Kaye Lindsay each tallied two goals for Hanover High girls hockey on Sunday afternoon as the Marauders skated to a 10-0 win over Bedford at St. Anselm’s Sullivan Arena.

The Marauders scored six goals in the first period and four in the second. Pepper Joseph, Natalie Morhun (one assist), Meredith Morhun and Sophia Brackett had a goal apiece. Greta Schultz added an assist.

Hanover (2-0-0) goalie Katelyn Smith tallied four saves. The Marauders play Friday at Campion to start their Hanover Holiday Tournament against BFA-St. Albans.

DIVE Hanover soars at Exeter

EXETER, N.H. — Three-time state champion Amelia Wallis opened the defense of her title with a commanding win at the Exeter High School Diving Invitational.

Wallis (389.1 points) and teammate Nika Renshaw (338.4 points) earned the two highest scores at the meet, both beating the top boy diver. Marauder Emma Sablan almost completed a sweep of the girl’s event, trailing third-place finisher Sue Mai White from Nashua South by just two points.

Hanover returns to the pool on Friday when it participates in the Oyster River Holiday Invitational.

INDOOR TRACK Davis wins 3000-meter

HANOVER — The New Hampshire High School Indoor Track League continued with another event at Dartmouth’s Leverone Field House.

Lebanon’s Cody Davis won the 3000-meter run event with a time of 9:28. Thetford’s Tad Darrah followed in third place in 10 minutes.

In the girls 55-meter hurdles, Thetford’s Samara Spelman finished third. On the boys side of the event, Newport’s Mason Martell finished in second place.

Hanover’s Kyle Doucette finished in second place in the 55-meter dash, while Marauders Ella Maclean claimed first-place honors with a time of 7.50 seconds in the girls portion.

BOYS BASKETBALL KUA 85, Brooks 77

BARRINGTON, R.I. — Rob Brown scored 41 points to lead the Wildcats to a weekend sweep at the St. Andrew’s Holiday Classic.

Rob McCrae scored 20 and point guard Matt Price added 11. KUA (7-2) doesn’t return to the hardwood until Jan. 8 when the Wildcats host Lawrence Academy.
