LYMAN, NH — June E. Fortier, 68, passed away due to a brief illness on November 28, 2019, at home surrounded by family. She was born February 25, 1951, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, VT, the daughter of Dan and Alice Thresher.
June grew up in Vershire, VT, and attended school at Thetford Academy. She then worked at local camps, and as a caregiver. She loved dancing at the 111 club, and also enjoyed spending her time baking, as she perfected her fudge recipes.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter Joanne Erno; and her two sisters Yolanda Hurlburt and Diana Williams. She is survived by her son David Cummings, Jr. and wife Shelly of Thetford, VT; daughter Miranda Veilleux and husband Lee of Lyman, NH; brothers Carl Thresher of Georgia, Steve Thresher and wife Lisa of Kentucky, Daniel Thresher and wife Sue of Vermont; sister Paula Marsh of Georgia; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held December 14, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at the East Thetford, VT, Baptist Church.
