Windsor and Oxbow each had two first-team selections and both school joined Woodstock in earning more than 30 placements on the Vermont Interscholastic Football League’s all-Division III team this week.

The Yellowjackets had three first-teamers in wide receiver Jordan Place (354 yards, four TDs), linebacker Caleb Meagher and defensive lineman Camden Burton. Oxbow provided the other first-teamer in quarterback Cooper Simmons (24 TD passes, more than 1,900 yards in completions).

Meagher (1,028 rushing yards, 14 TDs) made the second team at running back along with Oxbow receiver Hunter Locke (943 receiving yards, 15 TDs), Oxbow kicker Jace Page, Windsor punter John Cook, Woodstock back Corey White, Oxbow back John Moore, Windsor linebacker Connor Hart and Windsor defensive lineman Wyatt Bean.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALLArent top rookie for fourth time

HANOVER — The Ivy League named freshman Makenzie Arent its rookie of the week for the fourth time this season on Monday.

Arent had three kills and 107 of the Big Green’s 147 assists during wins over Merrimack, Columbia and Cornell last week. Dartmouth capped its season with an 8-15 overall record and a 4-8 mark in the Ivies.
