NORTH HAVERHILL — A 36-year-old Lebanon man who allegedly hit another man with a pistol on a city road in August was released on a $10,000 bond last week.
David Jones will be subject to electronic monitoring and can’t have any contact with the victim, according to a bail order filed Nov. 12.
The decision follows an incident on Granite Street in Lebanon when Jones approached another man around 10 p.m. to talk about how fast the man was driving. Jones allegedly pulled out a pistol and hit the man over the head, causing an injury, before going into an apartment nearby. Police received several calls from witnesses about the attack, and they searched Jones’ home where they found the firearm and other guns, according to a press release from Lebanon Police.
Jones earlier pleaded not guilty to charges in the case.
As part of his bail order, Jones will have to stay at a home in Newport, he can’t travel out of the state, he can’t have a firearm and he has to comply with a 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. curfew.
