CLAREMONT — The planned bank foreclosure auction of Jewell Transport on River Road was postponed to Nov. 1, the auction company said.
Originally scheduled in early September, the auction was moved to Sept. 26 and then to November. No reason for the postponement was given.
The 12-acre property includes a 13,600-square-foot steel-and-wood frame building attached to 2,300-square-feet of office space. Jewell moved into the new facility in 2016 from a location a short distance to the north on River Road, where the company was located when it first came to Claremont in 2004.
The building and land is assessed at $1.35 million, according to the city’s assessing records. The city clerk’s office said this week Jewell owes just over $100,000 in property taxes for 2018 and 2019.
