HANOVER — The Dartmouth College field hockey team faced Merrimack College on Sunday and sent the winless Warriors back to Massachusetts in the same condition in which they’d arrived.

Sophomore Sara Falkson scored the first two goals of her collegiate career and Lia Constantine and Katie Spanos also tallied.

Merrimack’s Lindsey Nolte ruined the shutout bid with three minutes remaining but the Warriors fell to 0-6.

Dartmouth improved to 2-4 and received one save from Isabella Santucci.

Dartmouth held a 14-2 advantage in shots on goal and earned nine penalty corners to the Warriors’ three.

The Big Green begins Ivy League play at noon Saturday against visiting Princeton.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The Big Green’s torrid season start continued behind two Izzy Glennon goals and single strikes from Erin Kawakami and Michael Guptill. Mariel Gordon’s two saves contributed to Dartmouth’s fifth consecutive shutout victory.

Dartmouth (7-1) begins Ivy League play Sunday at Brown (6-1-1).

MEN’S GOLF

HANOVER — The Dartmouth men’s golf team finished fourth out of four teams Sunday at its home invitational. Drexel, Rhode Island and Bucknell comprised the top three finishers at the Hanover Country Club.

Big Green junior Sam Ohno sank four birdies and 12 pars to card a 2-under 69, leading the team. Ohno finished the tournament tied for 12th in the 74-player field with a 1-under 141. Dartmouth will play one more tournament this fall at the Firestone Invitational, on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

BOYS SOCCER

Kimball Union 3, Pomfret 0

WINDSOR, Conn. — The Wildcats improved to 2-1 this season with a shutout on a neutral field at the Loomis Chaffee School. Wyatt Intrator, Ethan Barrett and Jay Douglas scored and Diego Pascual-Sanchez, Intrator and Quinn Guth had assists.

KUA held a 20-12 shot advantage and Liam Fitzgerald recorded his second shutout of the season. The Wildcats visit Cushing on Saturday.
