WEST LEBANON, NH — Dorothy C. Greene, 89, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, at Genesis in Lebanon, NH.
She was born in Perham, Maine on December 23, 1929, a daughter of Charles F. Cray and Gladys V. (Blackstone) Cray. She attended schools in Howland, Maine and graduated from Howland High School in 1949.
On March 25, 1950 she married Max F. Greene. She worked for Split Ball Bearing Co. for 25 years as a bearing washer. She was a member of The Congregational Church of West Lebanon, N.H. She enjoyed her family and friends. She also loved Country and Western Music. They traveled to the Lone Star Ranch in Reeds Ferry, NH and the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Porter (Dwight) of Randolph, VT, Barbara Nellis (Terry) of Spring Hill, FL, Patricia Crofts (Joe) of Indianapolis, IN, Joan Lynch (Kevin) of New Milford, CT; a sister Evelyn Jordan of Windsor Locks, CT; five grandsons, Tod, Michael, Adrian, Jeff and Jesse; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Kaitlyn and Travis; several step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, one brother Walter Abbott, and two sisters Margaret Sage and Violet Davey.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2020.
