HANOVER — Georgie McTear scored 5:22 into overtime to give the Minutemen the win, dropping Dartmouth to 0-2 on the season.

Sophomore goalie Isabella Santucci made her first career-start, making seven saves in 66 minutes of action.

“The team knows we needed to create more scoring chances. We simply cannot win many games putting one of three shots on goal,” said coach Amy Fowler in a news release. “That’s a reality check for us; we need to be more threatening in our attacking end.”

Sara Falkson a diving save to stop a UMass goal on a corner play halfway through the second quarter. Last season, she was third in the Ivy League with five defensive saves. Sunday marked her first of the 2019 campaign.

Dartmouth travels to Boston College for a Friday afternoon contest.
