WEST LEBANON, NH — Anthony J. Sadoques 84 died at the VA hospital on Wednesday August 28, 2019 after a brief illness. Tony was born in Hardwick Vermont on August 23, 1935. At an early age his family settled in Claremont N.H. where he enjoyed a childhood surrounded by a big extended family. He graduated from St Mary’s high school in 1954 where he played all varsity sports. After high school he joined the US Air force where he serve as a mechanic for four years. He was stationed in Greenland for over a year and England for six months along with other places around the US.
After an honorable discharge from the service he worked at the old MacNamara Motor in West Lebanon. He was set up on a blind date with Barbra Davis who became his wife and loving partner for nearly 60 years. In 1967 they settled in Meriden N.H. where he raised his family and developed the friendship of many in the community. He worked at Split Ball Bearing as an inspector for 36 years. He retire in 1997 and spent many winters in Florida and South Carolina. For the last decade he and Barbara have lived in West Lebanon at Quail Hollow where they have lead a life of quiet leisure. Tony enjoyed playing cards visiting with friends, vacations at the lake but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Anthony was predeceased by parents Marion Brown and Edward Sadoques, his brother John Brown and his favorite Uncle John Pinard. He is survived by his wife Barbara Sadoques, sister Gloria Sanderson, son Mark Sadoques and wife Carol Mullen, daughter Marci Sadoques and five grand children Emily, Abigail, Mollie, Ruby, Jared Sadoques and one great grand child Caelin.
Family and friends are invited to Anthony’s memorial calling hours on Wednesday September 4th at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon from 4-6. There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday September 7th at Quail Hollow from 1-3.
