LYME, NH — Samuel Power, 75, of Lyme, N.H. died July 2 at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon N.H.
He was born June 21,1944 in Charlottetown PEI Canada, the 7th child of Walter and Mary (Williams) Power. He attended Charlottetown schools, Sir George Williams University, and graduated from the Verdun Protestant Hospital Psychiatric Nursing Program.
In February of 1966 he married Priscilla Balch Power and in 1976 they moved to Lyme to raise their family. He worked at Dartmouth College Health Service, retiring in 2006. He was a superb cook and enjoyed sharing home cooked meals with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Priscilla, his two sons Troy (Patti) of Henniker, N.H. and Kyle of China Grove, N.C., his grandson Sage Jenks (Drew) of Bradford, VT, and his sister Roseann Boland (Foster) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, five brothers, and a sister.
A private service will be held at a later date.
