LYME CENTER, NH — Scarlett V. Dube, 77, of Lyme Ctr., NH passed away on June 23, 2019. Born April 26, 1942 in Lebanon, NH, she was the daughter of Frank and Elsie Chesley.

Scarlett grew up in Lyme Ctr., attended the one-room Chesley Schoolhouse and graduated from Thetford Academy High School, Class of 1960. She married Thomas C. Forward, Jr. and moved to Lynn, MA. There she raised her children, welcoming their friends and extended family as if they were her own. She loved children and volunteered her time as a leader of the Blue Birds (junior Camp Fire Girls). She graduated form the Bryman School of Nursing in Boston, MA. After divorcing in 1974 she returned to Lyme Ctr. and began her career at APD Memorial Hospital and later at DHMC.

She had a passion for square dancing, horses, camping, reading and crafting.

In 1986 she married Normand H. Dube, and lived in Florida for one year. They returned home to Lyme Ctr. where she devoted her life to her family and friends. She was a longtime member of the Lyme Ctr. Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, and the Ladies Aide.

Survived by her husband Normand; her three children Theresa Cloud (husband Dana), Sherry Forward and Thomas “Tim” Forward III (wife Barb), eight grandchildren: Josh, Lindsay, Dan, Nevin, Matt, T.C., Mandy and Meagan; and eleven great-grandchildren: Hunter, Aiden, Chase, Oden, Amelina, Diana, Arlo, Emily, Jason, August and Tommy.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
