Four-legged friends joined their two-legged buddies to help the Sullivan County Humane Society at Saturday’s SCHS Save a Stray 5K in Newport.

The event is an annual fundraiser for SCHS, and many of the nearly 200 runners and walkers brought their dogs with them. The route took all involved through the historic Corbin Covered Bridge and along Corbin Road before wrapping up at neighboring Robert C. Haserlat Park.

It’s a fair guess to assume all involved were reasonably dog-tired by the end.
