UVAC’s event, scheduled to run from 1:30-6 p.m., includes a fire truck and safety lesson followed by a free introductory swim lesson and time in the facility’s splash pool. GRANTHAM — Five Upper Valley high school golf programs are uniting to host a fundraising tournament on Saturday at Eastman Golf Links.
The 18-hole tourney helps the golf teams at Newport, Lebanon, Stevens, Kearsarge and Windsor high schools defray costs tied to their fall campaigns. In some cases, the teams have to fund themselves, and this tournament gives the public a chance to help and have fund at the same time.
The tournament, which will start at 1 p.m., costs $100 per person or $400 per four-player team to join. Sponsorship opportunities also are available, and raffle donations are welcome.
