HANOVER — Dartmouth College men’s tennis coach Chris Drake has resigned to take a similar position at Ivy League rival Yale.

Both Drake and Dartmouth athletic director Harry Sheehy announced the move in separate emails on Tuesday. Drake will take over the Yale program left behind by Alex Dorato, who recently retired from the school after 26 seasons as head coach and 33 years as a member of the Yale athletic program.

The Big Green made three appearances in the NCAA tournament under Drake, including each of the past two years. He led Dartmouth to the Ivy League crown in 2018, its first in more than two decades, and finishes with a 136-79 record in nine seasons.

Dorato, who announced his plans to retire last August, finished with a 344-286 mark as Yale’s coach. He was associate men’s coach and assistant women’s coach from 1986-92 before taking on the men’s head coaching job in 1993.

HANOVER — Ivy League defensive player of the year Isiah Swann has landed on Athlon Sports’ FCS Preseason All-America team.

Swann was a consensus All-American last season after leading all of NCAA Division I football with nine interceptions. The Associated Press, Stats and the American Football Coaches Association all bestowed national recognition upon Swann after last season.

The senior is the only Ivy Leaguer on Athlon’s preseason list.
