LEBANON — The Lebanon Police Department has selected a mascot to be featured at community events, the schools and other activities in the city.
And the department is asking for the public’s help in naming the new “working K-9” figure.
Through June 30, the department is asking children ages five to 12 to name the mascot, Lebanon police said in a news release. The winner will be announced in early July.
Lebanon police worked with BAM Mascots to come up with the idea. The department has ordered a custom suit, which several officers will take turns wearing, Chief Richard Mello said.
A picture of the mascot can be viewed by visiting https://lebanonnh.gov/ and navigating to the police department’s home page.
Entry forms for the contest can be dropped off at the police station or emailed to police@lebanonnh.gov.
