CORNISH — Police have identified the individuals responsible for damaging several mailboxes in Cornish and Claremont on Tuesday night.

Cornish Police Chief Doug Hackett said the suspects are an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old juvenile. The investigating is ongoing, and charges are expected, Hackett said in a news release on Thursday.

Police on Wednesday said they were investigating whether an improvised explosive device was used to detonate several mailboxes in Cornish and Claremont.
