Plainfield Brann wins Selectboard seat, zoning amendment passes

PLAINFIELD — Eric Brann won 309 votes to defeat longtime Selectboard member Judy Belyea, 255, and Mark Horne, 21, for a three-year term on the Selectboard in Australian ballot voting on Tuesday.

Judy Ptak, with 288 votes, and Jennifer Lenz, 266, won three-year seats on the Library Trustees over Patty Rondeau, who had 240 votes, and Suzanne Spencer, 227.

Jeanne Woodward-Poor won 307 votes to defeat John Hendrick, 255, for a single two-year trustees position.

A zoning amendment related to special exceptions passed, 443-79.

Plainfield Town Meeting is on Saturday morning.

Correction

Jeanne Woodward-Poor won 307 votes to defeat John Hendrick, 255, for a seat on the Plainfield Library Trustees. The town on Wednesday reported a transcription error which reduced her winning margin by 100 votes.
