BETHEL โ Voters will be asked to approve a $2.4 million budget for municipal operations, marking a 1.7 percent increase in total expenditures. If the budget is approved, the amount to be raised by taxes would increase by 3 percent, to just over $2 million.
The warning includes proposals to create a conservation fund, seeded with $2,500 from the general fund, and a capital road fund, with $132,775 moved over from the general fund. The latter measure is intended to help the town save money for larger road projects.
In town officer elections, which are nominated from the floor, the seats currently held by Selectboard members David Eddy and Chris Jarvis are on the ballot.
On the school side, the proposed $11.8 million White River Valley Unified School District budget would result in education spending of $18,305 per pupil, a 9.2 percent increase from the current school year.
