WEST LEBANON, NH — Frank Robert Shorey of West Lebanon, 93, died Saturday, February 2, 2019.
Frank was born January 19, 1926, the 7th of 8 children born to Frank Robert and Ida Mae Shorey in Branch Mills, Maine. Frank was predeceased by all of his siblings.
In 1946 Frank left high school to join the US Navy. Upon returning home he finished high school in 1948. He went on to Thomas College where he earned his degree in accounting. In 1950 he married Frances Black. They moved to the Upper Valley in 1953, raising their children and fostering 15 other children through Upper Valley Youth Services and Casey Family Services. Frank was a well known person in the Upper Valley. Frank worked for several businesses over the years and was also a member of the Lebanon Lions Club.
Frank is survived by his wife, Fran Shorey of West Lebanon; a son, Steven, of Meriden; 2 daughters, Leann Briggs & Lisa Shorey both of West Lebanon. Frank is predeceased by a daughter, Barbara, and a son, Dwight; a grandson, Rob; and a great-grandson, Hunter. Frank is survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Life Celebration will be held at a later date.
