EAST RANDOLPH, VT — Carl C. Taylor, 70, of East Randolph, died Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
He was born January 28, 1948 in Rochester, VT; the son of Harold and Phyllis (Coburn) Taylor. He graduated from Whitcomb High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He had also lived in Pittsfield and Royalton before moving to East Randolph in 1990. Carl was married to Janice Merrill who died in 2015. He was a heavy equipment mechanic in the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire for many years. Carl enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and being with this grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons Keven Taylor and wife Ashlee of East Randolph, and Clayton Taylor of Heber City, UT; brothers Donald Taylor and wife Gloria of Stockbridge, and Harold Taylor of Hanover, NH; four grandchildren.
Private Graveside Services with military honors will be held in the Spring at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. There are no calling hours. Online condolences may be left at www.dayfunerals.com. Arrangements are by the Day Funeral Home.
