VERSHIRE, VT — Gary R. Lefevre, 55, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH of complications from a stroke he suffered earlier.
He was born June 26, 1963 in Plainfield, CT, the son of Gerard and Rosetta (Credit) Lefevre. He attended school in Plainfield, CT. He moved to Vermont in 1983 to share his life with Melanie French and they remained committed to one another until his passing. They moved to Vershire in 1992.
Since 1993 Gary owned and operated his own janitorial business, “Common Cents Cleaning”.
He enjoyed fishing, mowing lawns and hanging out with his friends and family. He was a dedicated father and his granddaughter was the light of his life. He is survived by his partner, Melanie French of Vershire, VT, his father Gerard Lefevre of Plainfield, CT, two sons Seth Grayson of Vershire and Lucas French of Thetford, VT, a granddaughter Orayna Pleake, two brothers Gerard Lefevre, Jr. and Robert Lefevre both of Connecticut, three sisters Debra Eichinger of South Carolina, Marie Lefrancios and Kathleen Pendleton both of Connecticut, several dear inlaws and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, and a son Ryan Lefevre.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11am-1pm at the Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home, 300 VT Rte 110, Chelsea, VT. A graveside funeral service will be held later this spring in the South Vershire Cemetery with a celebration of life to follow.
