LEBANON, NH — Dorothy “DB” M. Varnese, 77, passed away Saturday December 29th 2018 at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon. She was born in Hanover to the late Asa & Evelyn (Bond) Cummings Sr. Dorothy graduated from West Lebanon High School, class of 1959. While in school she was on the cheerleading squad. She had worked as a secretary for Hypertherm, Baker & Hayes and Romer Holleran. She was married to Bernard “Bernie” Daly, he predeceased her in 1998. In 2006 she remarried Gary Varnese. DB was a long-time member of the American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary, Post 22. She served as president eight different times and enjoyed traveling to conventions. She was also a member of the VFW in White River Junction and was an avid New York Giant’s fan. Dorothy enjoyed shopping and visiting Mohegan Sun.
She is survived by her husband Gary Varnese, a daughter Kerrie Daly Ryan and her husband John, a brother John Cummings Jr. and his wife Carol, a granddaughter Elizabeth Daly Ryan, nieces and nephews.
