WEST LEBANON, NH — Joyce “Jo” McBain,75, a lifelong Area resident, passed away Monday December 10, 2018. She was born in Etna, NH one of eleven children to the late Ernest & Elizabeth (Emerson) Penn. Jo was married to Douglas McBain on May 1, 1964. She enjoyed antiquing & yard sales so much that she and her husband operated an antique business, traveling all of new England buying and selling. Some of Jo and Doug’s most memorable antique trips were to Block Island.
She is survived by her husband Doug McBain, their daughter Brenda Wilson and her husband Kevin Hicks, a sister and brother in law Lucille and Winston Brown, a brother Robert Penn, three grandchildren Kristin, Jacob Joshua, a great granddaughter Nylah Mae, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by nine siblings and a great grandson, Aidan.
Family and friends are invited to Jo’s memorial calling hours at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Saturday December 15th from 3 to 4 PM with her memorial service beginning at 4 PM. The Rev., Dr. Michael Hall will officiate. Following Jo’s memorial service folks are welcome to gather at the Lebanon Elk’s Lodge.
