Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the opening period. The Big Green had a number of good scoring chances and took a 13-9 shot advantage into the second.
UNH broke the scoreless tie at 1:39 of the second on Dunbar’s goal four seconds into the power play. Wenczkowski scored at 7:54 on a delayed penalty, giving the visitors a 2-0 advantage.
The Green led in shots throughout most of the third and had a few quality attempts, but Wildcats goalie Kyra Smith stood her ground and sent each one away. Dartmouth freshman Chloe Puddifant had a nice breakaway chance halfway through the period, while senior Alyssa Baker tried her luck with a backhanded shot, but both just missed the mark.
Dartmouth had a slight advantage in shots (31-29). Big Green goalie Christine Honor had 27 saves and a .931 save percentage. Dartmouth will have a few weeks away from the ice, returning on Dec. 30 at UConn.

Jourdain Bell added 22 points, five assists and five steals for the Chargers, and Dana Bean had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Colby-Sawyer will travel to the University of New England on Saturday.
