Lebanon
All Lebanon officers will be firing a series of shots between 4 and 8:30 p.m. as part of their “low light” qualification course, a training that helps officers prepare for working in dark environments.
“One a year, we go out and shoot at dusk or in dark hours using flashlights,” Lebanon Police Chief Richard Mello said. “(In the winter,) we operate half of our day in a low-light environment.”
The officers will perform their training at the Grafton County Fish and Game Association on Trues Brook Road.
“Surrounding neighborhoods can expect to hear some noise from the range during that time frame,” Lebanon police said in a news release. “Officers will be qualifying both with pistol and rifle.”
