Sharon — A Massachusetts man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly tried to steal items, including a passport, from another passenger’s purse on a Greyhound bus.

Anthony Langlois, 21, of Plainville, Mass., allegedly removed 21-year old Sara Azurza’s passport as well as some credit cards from her purse around 6:15 p.m., according to a Vermont State Police news release.

An altercation then ensued.

The bus driver pulled off Interstate 89 at Exit 2 in Sharon, where police took Langlois into custody and later released him on a citation to appear in court. He was charged with possession of stolen property and larceny from a person.

He will be arraigned on Dec. 4 in Windsor Superior Court in White River Junction.
