Quechee — A 60-year-old Quechee man has been sentenced to three years probation and six months home confinement for filing false income tax returns, the U.S. Department of Justice said on Wednesday.

Kurt Devoid, a self-employed painter, failed to report “substantial income” on his tax returns from 2010 to 2013, according to a news release.

Devoid pleaded guilty to the offense in federal court in May and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $98,500.
