Grantham, N.H. —
He attended Haverford School and the University of Virginia majoring in Economics. He served in the Navy on a destroyer with two tours in Korea. His business career spanned wholesale lumber, non-technical medicine publicity, and banking for the last 30 years. He retired from United National Bank in Bridgewater, N.J. as Executive Vice President and Cashier. Among his community activities he served as Chairman of the American Heart Association in Bergen and Passaic Counties, Chairman Industrial Advisory Council of OIC’s of America in Paterson, N.J., Chairman of Education and Marketing Comm. New Jersey Bankers Association, Treasurer United Way of Union County, N.J., on the boards of YWCA, Chamber of Commerce, Co-Founder with church leaders of Faith, Bricks and Mortar of Plainfield, N.J., Somerset County Council of Affordable Housing, and of the Plainfield Symphony. In Eastman, he was elected to Council by Deeryard Special Place Committee, worked with Communications Committee on developing the Community Services Guide, chaired an ad hoc committee to attempt to determine the interest in expanding the swimming pool and creating a fitness center.
