Newport, N.H. —
She leaves behind her husband, Stanley Leonard LeBrun of 66 years; and their six children. Daniel, Thomas, Steven, Sandra, Carol and David and their loved ones. In addition, seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
Her joyful happy spirit was infectious to all those who’s path she crossed throughout her 86 years. She was always the center of attention regardless of the event or celebration she attended.
Her number one priority in life was her family. A husband and six children required much energy and hers was endless. She continued to find time for relatives and friends.
At a young age she enjoyed tap dancing, field hockey and softball. As if that wasn’t enough, she also became a cheerleader to support all her schools sporting events. Later in life she went on to earn many trophies in bowling (top scorer) and golf (always under par).
She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1950 and was very dedicated to her alumni. For her class anniversary reunions, she was the “go to” person, and always called upon for her artistic talent and abilities for the parade floats. The class always took home a prize.
Jean and Stan owned and operated the Verdondale Store, in North Sutton, N.H. for 12 years. A lasting impression they left on the town when they retired to Enfield, N.H. From then on, she was a dedicated volunteer at the Lebanon Senior Center. She was the overseer of the craft room and gift shop.
Her motto in life was “It’s better to laugh, than to cry” and will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, N.H. A memorial service will be celebrated Thursday, Aug. 9 at 10 a.m. at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon.
A special Thank You to all at DHMC and Woodlawn Care Center for the compassion they shared with her.
