Randolph — Vermont State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of a vehicle who struck a pedestrian in the Shaw’s parking lot off Route 12 in Randolph around noon on Wednesday.

Nancy Plotsky, 65, of Washington, D.C., suffered minor injuries when the driver backed into her while she was walking. The driver, who possibly was operating a gray Ford pickup truck, left the area without stopping, police said in a news release.

Witnesses believe the license plate contained “something orange” in the middle of it, and that the driver may be out of Florida or Georgia.

Anyone with information is asked to call Vermont State Police at 802-234-9933.
