Lake Sunapee VNA Welcomes New Hospice Director

New London — Diane Brace, of New Boston, N.H., has joined the Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice as its new hospice and palliative care director, the agency announced.

A native of New Hampshire, Brace has more than 25 years of nursing experience with hospitals in the state’s southern region. She has worked in specialties ranging from acute care to care in an outpatient interventional pain center and other outpatient procedural clinics, including endoscopy and urology, according to a news release from the nonprofit organization.

Brace earned an associates degree in nursing in 1993 from Manchester Community College, attended Rivier University in Nashua and then, in 2011, earned her master’s degree in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn. During her career, she worked as nursing director of assisted living and long-term care facilities before becoming director of clinical services for a hospice company.

Brace said in a statement that she is eager to work with Lake Sunapee VNA’s “great team of competent and caring staff.”

“I am passionate about patient care in general,” she said, “but especially end-of-life care, where we have the unique opportunity to treat, not only our patients, but their families as well.”
