Port St. Lucie, Fla. — Lorena (Kitty) M. Dart Love, 102, of Port St. Lucie, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.

Born in Manchester, N.H., on June 7, 1916, she had been a resident of Port St. Lucie, for six years since moving from Springfield, N.H. Prior to that, she lived most of her life in Brockton, Mass. where she and her husband were active in numerous organizations, volunteered at local hospitals and were lifelong members of the Central Methodist Church, in Brockton, the Springfield Methodist Church and Springfield Historical Society. Kitty and David were founding members of the Brockton Museum of Art. Before retiring she worked in the City Clerks office for the City of Brockton, Mass. from 1968 to her retirement in 1977. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, and music but most of all she truly loved and cherished her family.  

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Jensen Beach, Fla.

Kitty is survived by her two daughters, Davena Dart Szmyt and her husband, Henry J. of Port St. Lucie and Donna Dart Denniston and her husband Brandt of Springfield, N.H.; her grandsons, Paul S. LeBrun of Newfields, N.H., Steven T. Szmyt and his wife, Stacey of Portsmouth, N.H., Christopher  H. Szmyt and his wife Emily of Auburn, N.H., Dr. David B. Denniston and his wife Tara of Autumn Hills, Mich., Douglass Denniston and his wife Ivana of White Plains, N.Y. and  Dr. James C. Denniston and his wife Lori of West Jefferson, N.C. Kitty adored  her four great-granddaughters, Brianna L. LeBrun, Sydney H. Szmyt, Samantha L. Szmyt, Lena M. Denniston; her two great-grandsons, Connor J. Szmyt and Brandt P. Denniston; and her many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husbands, David E. Dart in 1978 and Lawrence Love, Sr. in 2006.

There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. on July 2, 2018, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 2221 NE Savanna Rd. Jensen Beach, FL, 34957 followed by refreshments.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Aug. 4 at the Newfields Community Church, Newfields, N.H. With internment Aug. 5 in Center Cemetery, Hanover, Mass. with her husband David.
