Etna, N.H. — Roma F. Cahalan, 95, passed away peacefully to the sound of country music and the parakeet singing Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Lebanon Center-Genesis. She was born in Hanover, N.H. to the late Perley & Sarah (Pushee) Hill on Jan. 21, 1923. Roma grew up and attended schools in Etna and Hanover.

Roma lived with her mother in Fitchburg, Mass., where she cared for her. She was employed by GE, while working there she met John Cahalan and later married.

She enjoyed dogs, birds, country music, and spending time with her husband at Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

Family was very important to her.

She was dearly loved by her caregivers both at Genesis and Bayada.

She is survived by a step son John a sister Barbara Pelton, two Nephews Ken Pelton (Norma) and Keith Pelton (Ellen), two step grandchildren, other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, a step daughter Carol, a brother Wayne Hill, a sister Leona Dowling and a step brother Maurice Crawford.

Family and friends are invited to Roma’s graveside service at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in North Thetford, Vt.
