Hanover, N.H. — Elizabeth (Betsey) Brackett, 91, died Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was born June 4, 1927, in Hanover, the daughter of Roy F. and Dorothy (Gile) Brackett.  Betsey graduated from Hanover High School and attended Bradford Jr. College and Pierce Secretarial School. She worked at Dartmouth Medical School and for 28 years at the Central Intelligence Agency as an Analyst.  Subsequently she worked for the National Grange Headquarters in Washington, DC, and upon retirement was a docent at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. She moved from Arlington, Va., to Kendal at Hanover in 2004. An active member of Washington area hiking clubs, Betsey was an opera lover, an avid reader and a watercolor painter. 

Betsey is survived by her sister, Linda Brackett of Fairfax, Va., two nephews, Charles F. Halberstam (Bradley) of Vero Beach, Fla., and Eben G. Halberstam (Barbara) of Fairfax, Va.; a grandnephew, grandniece and cousins.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.
