Springfield, Vt. — The Springfield Police Department is continuing to investigate a fatal car crash that occurred on Route 11 West on Wednesday afternoon.

Two unidentified vehicles collided head-on around 2 p.m. near the Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center, resulting in the death of one of the operators.

The driver of the other vehicle was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and his or her condition wasn’t known on Thursday.

Neither driver has been identified.
