New London Hospital Recognized As Breastfeeding Friendly Employer

New London — New London Hospital received a Breastfeeding Friendly Employer Award from the New Hampshire Breastfeeding Task Force during the organization’s annual conference, held June 4 in Meredith, N.H. 

The award recognizes employers making exceptional efforts to support employees who are nursing mothers.

“We are so proud of the Lactation Program we have established and our on-site ABC’s Childcare Center,” Catherine Bardier, New London Hospital’s director of wellness and population, said in a news release. “Nursing moms at work don’t need much. … On-site access to their infant, a comfortable private place, time to pump or breastfeed, and someone who can help answer their questions.”
