Las Vegas, Nev. — Vernon Edmund Peoples passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018. He was originally from North Hartland, Vt. He was in the real estate and building industry since 1976. He was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Hanover, N.H. and resided in Las Vegas for 43 years.

He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Jean Porter, mother of Dustin; father, Orvis Peoples; mother, Jessie Rhodes Peoples; brothers, Orvis Jr. and Wilmer; sister, Verla; and his beloved son, Dustin Michael. He is survived by his brother, David; sisters, Myrna and Anita; along with many nieces and nephews.

Vern had so many close friends who deeply cared for him and will miss him so much, especially his longtime roommate, Melissa. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, was a Big Brother of the Year, a wonderful poet and had such a great wit. He was a caring, honest man who never lied, deceived or made fun of anyone in his whole life.

The service was on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
