Perkinsville, Vt. — Eight 4-H participants took part in a Muzzleloader Shoot hosted by The Green Mountain 4-H Club of Springfield on May 26 at the Precision Valley Fish and Game Association in Perkinsville.

Participants were permitted to use any traditional or non-traditional muzzleloading rifle. Seniors, ages 13-18, shot from a standing position. Winners in this division were Kelsea Aldrich, of Lyndonville; Ken Beaupre, of Orford; Hunter Michaud, of East Hardwick; and Austin Taylor, of Westminster. Aldrich, Beaupre and Michaud will represent Vermont on the muzzleloader team at the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships in Grand Island, Nebraska later this month.

Younger competitors, ages 8-12, shot from a standing position using a rest. Evan Hash, of Lyndonville, placed first, followed by Jacob Churchill, of Groton; Isaac Osinchuck, of Springfield; and Ivan Osinchuck, of Springfield.
