Canaan, N.H. —
They returned to Canaan, George’s home town, after retirement from the U.S.A.F. becoming involved in their chosen community. Irene continued her work in the financial business sector locally at the Cold Regions Research & Engineering Lab, Mascoma Savings Bank, and as a licensed Real Estate Broker.
She enjoyed her Methodist Church community, games of cards & Scrabble, day trips, and her special pet friends. Known for her sense of humor and caring nature, she was one of the first to reach out to anyone in need.
Irene is survived by several nieces & nephews. Following her request, a graveside service will be held on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Canaan St. Cemetery followed by a reception at the Canaan United Methodist Church.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest an act of kindness done in her memory to continue her legacy.
