Sharon Academy Students to Release Trout

Sharon — The Sharon Academy’s Woodland Ecology Class will be releasing trout into the White River on Thursday, May 31.

For the past several months teacher Rob Stainton’s woodland ecology class has been raising trout through a program called Trout in the Classroom, sponsored by the Greater Upper Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. The program educates students about the importance of healthy ecosystems in our rivers.

Members of the public can help with the release by meeting at 11 a.m., on Thursday in Stainton’s room at the The Sharon Academy, 79  Route 132, Sharon.
