James B. Provencal

Springfield, N.H. — James B. Provencal, 64, lost his hard fought battle with cancer at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care in Lebanon on Friday, May 11, 2018. Jim was the son of the late Ronald & Kathleen (Bromley) Provencal. He graduated from Lebanon High School, class of 1972. Jim worked in the construction field most of his life as a welder/steamfitter/plumber. He took pride in the fact that he helped build DHMC. His final job was with FO&M at Dartmouth College from which he retired. Jim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and motorcycling. He took great pride in his vegetable garden.

He is survived by the love of his life, wife Adrienne Stone. Brothers John and Tommy, sisters Ann and Sarah. His best buds his Rottweiler Jake and cat Fred and many, many wonderful friends and extended family.

Jim’s family would like to thank all his friends for their love and support. Also, a heartfelt thank you to all the nurses, doctors and staff at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Jack Byrne Center for their care and compassion.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Per Jim’s wishes his ashes will be scattered in the ocean this summer.

Should one choose memorial donations can be made to Norris Cotton Cancer Center or the Jack Byrne Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in lieu of flowers.
