Lebanon, N.H. — Margaret (Gehl) Herman, 89, of Alice Peck Day Drive, Lebanon, died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Denver, Colo., on Feb. 9, 1929, the daughter of Eugene and Paula (Immel) Gehl.

She was an amazing wife and Mom. Margaret lived in Enfield, N.H., for 32 years before moving to Lebanon a year ago. She is known for riding her red scooter in the halls of Harvest Hill.

She is predeceased by her sister, Betty Naze. Her husband of 70 years, Arnold W. Herman, died on Feb. 8, 2018.

Members of her family surviving include six children, Debra and her husband, Chuck Wyman of Sanbornton, N.H., Mary Jo Vick of Franklin, N.C., Jill and her husband, Craig Rockwell of New London, N.H., Beth and her husband, Al Maupin of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jennifer and her husband, Lino Gomez of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Richard and his wife, Sophia Herman of New York, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Margaret and Arnold Herman will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Countryside Cemetery, Kluge Road, Enfield.
