Stewartstown, N.H. —
He was born on Nov. 9, 1948, in Berlin, N.H., the son of Robert D. and Pearl R. (Downes) Corrigan, Sr. He was raised in Randolph, N.H., and joined the U.S. Army to serve with honor during the Vietnam conflict.
His career was spent as a long-haul truck driver. Dennis moved to the north country in 1993, where he enjoyed always helping others before himself, his antique cars, going to car shows, and going camping. He ran a race car at the Groveton Speedway for many years and he was an avid NASCAR fan.
He leaves behind his beloved partner and companion of 25 years, Dencie Berry of Stewartstown; his children, Angela M. Kelley and partner Lee Lambert of Groveton, and DeeDee Rainville and husband Jeff of Colebrook, Robert Berry of Alabama, and Jon-Paul Berry and wife Josee of Colebrook; his mother, Pearl Corrigan of Lebanon, N.H.; eight grandchildren, Blake Donato of Gorham, N.H., Anthony Berry of Woodsville, N.H., Hunter Berry of Alabama, Ryleigh Rainville of Colebrook, Brooklynn Berry of North Stratford, Mallorie Berry of Stewartstown, Parker Berry and Leah Berry of Stewartstown; three brothers, Keith Corrigan of Lebanon, Robert Corrigan, Jr., of Jefferson, N.H., and David Corrigan and wife Judy of Jefferson; three sisters, Glenna Stygles of Gildan, N.Y., Roberta Corrigan and Cathy Giguere, both of Lebanon.
Dennis is predeceased by his father, Robert D. Corrigan, Sr., a brother, Richard Corrigan, and a son, Mark Berry.
Calling hours will be at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook on Tuesday, May 8, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside interment service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, May 9, at 11 a.m. in the Stewartstown Hollow Cemetery.
